Anxiety & Panic

If you are experiencing sleeplessness, palpitations and dizziness they could be signs that often accompany feelings of intense worry or panic.  ‘None of us would live long if anxiety didn’t stop us from taking foolhardy risks.  But too much anxiety can be problematic’ (Joe Griffin).

Anxiety presents physically, emotionally and psychologically.   Counselling  can help you with feelings of overwhelming worry, general anxiousness, panic attacks and unrealistic fears, by providing you with ways of dealing with situations as they occur and exploring the cause of these. By understanding the condition more fully and taking control, counselling also teaches guided relaxation including mindfulness – being in the moment – rather than worrying about the past or the future (as per the NICE guidelines).

I enjoy reducing anxiety through therapy and have seen excellent results, but these also depend upon positive co-operation of the individual.
